Welcome from Our President

The motto of Royston Golf Club is “A Bono ad Meliora” which translates to “From Good to Better”. This may have been interpreted in 1892 as players aiming to improve their golfing prowess, but we now take it to mean that the whole club is aiming to provide an excellent golfing experience, both on and off the course.

Our chalk heathland terrain and the local knowledge and expertise gained by our greens team, led by course manager Ian Coote, keeps the Royston course in superb condition throughout the year, providing a rewarding and exciting golfing challenge for players at every level. With no need for temporary greens, members and visitors alike can enjoy a full golfing experience in winter as well as the main golfing season.

After your round, you are invited to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and excellent catering in the clubhouse where you would be made very welcome by our in-house team.

Finally, may I take this opportunity to wish all the club golfing teams and members an enjoyable and successful year.
